The Medical-Surgical Unit is a 34-bed inpatient nursing unit. Semi-private and private rooms are offered. Special private rooms to isolate patients with infectious diseases, called isolation rooms, are also on this unit. If you have a reason to be hospitalized for a general, non-critical medical or surgical disease, your physicians will order for you to be admitted here.
Twenty- four hour nursing care is provided by RN's ,LPN's, and Nurses Aides. Visiting hours on this unit are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. with a limit of 2 visitors per patient. Children under the age of 12 should not be visitors according to the Illinois Department of Public Health. Televisions (with cable service) and telephones are available for each person in the rooms.
